A sock for my dad- I’m almost to the heel on the first one now.

Here’s a corset for Jax, modeled on a well-endowed grocery bag, that was actually finished months ago.

-A sock for Manuel, currently just past the heel flap.  Partner sock to follow.

-A denim-colored sock for my Dad- pair should be completed by Hanukkah!

Of course, I don’t actually have time to knit any of these things, so it will be a while before the list changes.

It may have been a while since I last wrote… about 9 months or so… but I’m back!  To catch up on all the very important, very interesting things that have happened to me in the last 9 months you can read my blog about Spain (which is much better written and more widely read than this one, I promise).  I may have knit less than I should have while on study abroad… In my defense, I did teach a Spaniard to knit, and he’s now finished the first ten rows of a scarf (which puts him about 9 rows ahead of me in the “Knitting in Spain” competition).

Since coming back, I’ve re-started a sweater that I deserted in August and have started a pair of socks for my dad.  I promise I will post pictures if I remember to post agian.

There was also a seagull who seemed to be extremely pissed off, as his feathers were always puffed out and he glared angrily at other birds.  We named him Andrey, but I forgot to take his picture.

Beautiful blue malabrigo socks.  Speaking of malabrigo…

 Shhh, it’s a secret.  Isn’t it beautiful?  The only problem is that I don’t know what to make with it…

Oh, and while we’re on the subject…

The subject was malabrigo, in case you hadn’t noticed.  These ones aren’t for me.  The blue is for Connor, and the other is a SECRET YARN for a SECRET PERSON.   Any suggestions?

Malabrigo lace weight makes life beautiful.  It will be even more beautiful (if you can picture that) once I finish making it into a sweater, designed by Mouse.  However, this sweater may never exist as more than ten rows and a dream, as it is 145 stitches across and I apparently have knitting ADD.  Exhibit A:

A sock for Sue, almost done, but receiving less attention than it deserves.  Exhibit C:

A gorgeous cotton sweater that I started.  The back would be done by now, and the front would be started, if I hadn’t made a ridiculous vicodin- induced mistaken that was mended physically but left me mentally frogged.

Oh, yarn.

I think I’m falling in love- with a type of yarn.  Ok, that’s a slight hyperbole, but it’s still very amazing.  These are my malabrigo socks:
